Russia will present its energy achievements and technological capabilities at EXPO-2017. The nuclear-powered icebreaker of the future, the polar hemisphere and the Russian Arctic, extensive business and cultural programs are all waiting for the guests of the Russian Pavilion at the Exhibition in Astana.
This exposition is one of the largest in EXPO-2017. The exposition will reveal the country’s energy potential demonstrating the unique natural region of the Russian Arctic. Right from the entrance, the visitor enters the “Energy Portal”, where he will learn about the main exposition element – the introductory installation “Energy of the Arctic”. The multimedia attraction titled “Polar Hemisphere” will show the development and achievements of the Russian nuclear industry. Inside the attraction, visitors will find themselves in an atmosphere of the Arctic extreme point of the Earth, where everyone can feel the touch of the impressive Arctic.
Besides, the exposition will present the theme of preserving the existing ecological systems, flora and fauna in support of the Year of Ecology in Russia. Guests will see the dynamic video installations: “Natural World of the Arctic”, “Underwater World of the Arctic. Shelf”, “Arctic Flora and Fauna. Ice”. Special attention will be given to projects of preserving and restoring populations of rare animals.
At the end of the tour, the visitors enter the area of alternating exhibits, which will display advanced technologies related to the theme of the international universal exhibition and economic potential.
In the framework of Russia’s participation at
EXPO-2017, there will be a festival
of regional cultures of Russia, which will be attended by artists and creative bands from different parts of Russia. There will also be an international business program, the main theme of which will be the search for the global energy balance.
